On Friday, August 6, 1999, United Press International announced the sale of its remaining broadcast operations to the Associated Press. The UPI Radio Network, nee UPI Audio circa 1958, ceased operations at 12:32 PM EDT Thursday, August 19, 1999. At 12:34 PM EDT, there was AP material flowing on the old UPI lines.

This material was ORIGINALLY posted in 1999 and has now been replaced with MP3 versions.

But to play them now, current versions of the REAL PLAYER likely need to download additional "codec" software to play these older "legacy" format files.
